Havering Hockey Club (formerly Hornchurch Hockey Club) celebrated its centenary year in 2022 and I have been fortunate to be a part of this remarkable club since 1967.
During this time, I have met some amazing people – made many lifelong friends – sadly some of whom are no longer with us, but for those that are, there are many who still follow our adventures via social media.
Havering has always been a sociable, inclusive, family based club. Many generations of families have graced our teams as well as new members who have come into our club and become part of our wider hockey family.
Throughout our history there has always been a mantra that we support everyone in our club and every member is equally as important and everybody’s opinion matters and is listened to.
We currently run 4 mens, 4 ladies sides, mixed sides and a minis section and avidly compete in summer competitions during the closed season. We have a cross section of all ages and abilities throughout our teams.
We are a partner club with The Campion School where matches and training sessions are held and have a clubhouse based in Harrow Lodge Park in Hornchurch.
We are fortunate to be near local transport links (TFL) and ten minutes from the M25.
If you’re looking for a new challenge or are interested in trying out Hockey, or introducing your children to a new sport and to learn more about what it has to offer then please get in touch.
Please look on our contact page for details.
You won’t regret it.
