3 of Havering’s up and coming young players were part of the Essex U13 squad for the East tournament on Sunday 18th May. The team performed really well, finishing runners up despite not losing a game and only conceding one goal (won 3, drew 3). Both Tess Meehan and Emily Martin scored goals whilst Bethan Isherwood was the captain for the day. Isabella Purdie was unfortunate to pick up an injury and was forced to pull out of the squad but did come and support. Other Havering players, Lily Spencer-Smith and Emily Crown were both in the previous JAC squads proving what a bunch of talented young players we have coming through. They will all be 13 by September so we look forward to seeing them all in the Saturday League games.
In the older age groups, Rhiannon Goulden, Emily Gilkes-Tarsey, Lauren Earle and Zoe Hall all played for the U15. Essex came third but were unlucky not to finish higher as loosing the ball in the middle gave the opposition a few too many chances.
In the U16 Amelia Acreman cam away with a winners medal after Essex topped the group.
Well done to all our girls who have taken part!!
